Catch one of the famous steamers in the village and disembark at Aira Force to see the impressive waterfall. Head into Penrith, 6 miles away, to browse in independent shops and buy fresh produce in the farmers’ market. Lowther Castle is less than 5 miles away; the castle and gardens are a sight to behold and there is a fabulous adventure playground. Sailing, paddleboarding and horse trekking are all available in the local area.
