Beautiful house which was perfect for 6 adults when in the house we spent most the time in the kitchen sitting at the lovely big table. The downstairs film room was very damp. We emptied the dehumidifier every day infact some days it was twice and it wasn't even raining for the week we were there!! The beds were very comfortable. The upstairs sRead morehower stopped working which was fixed the next day. Parking was at a car park around the corner which always had spaces. There's also an Aldi literally round corner so if we were popping back to get changed we left the cars in there. Nice walk into cockermouth from the house. Would definitely visit again. Hide

Fantastic place to stay in beautiful Cockerham. We've never visited before, but the town people are really friendly and there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants to visit. Lovely walks along the river for the dogs was a real bonus. The house had everything you need for four people, it would be a squeeze to all fit into one of the rooms if thRead moreere were six of you wanting to sit together. The beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms luxurious with fantastic water pressure. It was good to have outdoor space for the dogs, it was a little chilly to sit out for us, but I expect it would be nice in the summer. All in all, a really lovely home from home in a great location. Cottage location and decor was great, Cockermouth is a really nice town and a good base for exploring Cumbria Garden was a little untidy during our stay (not ideal with small dogs) and found some of the furniture in the cottage not particularly comfy. Although mentioned in the particulars the lack of parking is a bit of a pain and will add around 5Read more0 per week to the cost of your holiday. Hide

Beautiful house; ideal for our friends group. Ample space and compact garden for catching evening sun with a glass of whatever you fancy. Excellent location for our trip as we wanted access to Derwent, Scarness and crummock waters. We did fret about loading vehicles within the hour time frame but the car park was also close .

This is a fantastic house with lots of space, comfy beds and interesting artwork! The kitchen is so well equipped it was better than home from home. We really wanted to just move in! Perfect it was spotless, I am very particular and couldn't fault anything. The only thing that would have been nice is a sofa in the TV /cinema room for a little more comfort as there was 5 of us and only 4 chairs. That's literally it. We had a lovely time and loved the location. Also amazing hosts who thought of everything

We had a lovely stay. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The beds are very comfy too. Only downside was the lack of parking as we had two cars, however there are a couple of car parks within walking distance.
