Creosoting the fence just before I arrived, caused me to have black tar all over my hand driving my car into the compound. Not a great start. On arrival I found the key easily and opened the door to a lovely little apartment that I believed would suit my needs very well. How wrong I was. I took 2 hours trying to connect to the broadband / Wi-Fi, buRead moret after various tests I found it was so poor and unbelievably slow, that it was barely usable. The TV on the wall also did not work. I could get no channels at all. I thought it was just because the batteries in the remote were dead, but I tried various tests to get the channels to appear, but the best I got was one News channel. The bed was also semi-collapsed on one side. On the plus side, the apartment was very warm and the shower was superb. So, to finish my write up of the get-away apartment, no amenities, and a hard slog up an extremely steep hill after a walk into town. Very poor internet connectivity, and not even basic A/V functionality. The views on the other hand were breath-taking. The locals were also very welcoming. Hide

Superb quiet location with views across to the Langdales. Modern , simply but beautifully furnished flat. Ideal for a couple who are fairly fit and don't mind a brief walk uphill out of Ambleside.

For me, Willowbank Nook has everything - modern and comfortable, lovely views, off-street parking, 15 minutes walk to Ambleside - if you don't mind the steep climb home!

Really nice place to stay and well equipt 2 main problems shower leaks onto floor which has been previously reported and the bed Mattris is gone past its shelf life and should be replaced as its not fit for purpose. Its not a soft one its a busted one

This is a beautiful apartment with high quality fittings, and well worth a stay. Be mindful that the road to the apartment and the road up The Struggle is very steep and tight, so you might feel you need to use the car every time you go into Ambleside. Lovely garden and views.

Beautiful little cottage with a garden with rabbits! Very modern, clean, and comfortable. We had a lovely time. Within walking distance to Ambleside, but beware that the walk back from town is very steep!

Quiet, scenic spot with good parking, but very steep narrow access. No host on site to ask about things that didn't work (terrestrial TV/Freeview & hob light/extractor), and faint high-pitched beep every 5 seconds heard in the bedroom 24/7. The property was clean (apart from the toaster & grillpan being full of crumbs), and the bed comfortable, butRead more bedroom/shower room were a little cramped for the price, and the shower tray leaked a lot. It seems that the issues have been raised before with you and the cleaning company have done nothing about it. Weve stayed in that house before and had similar issues. The shower has been leaking for a few years and you can see its not been corrected. The whole place needs a deep clean and the company you use to clean need to be fired as they clearRead morely cant do a good enough job. Ive tried to contact you and was told Id get a call back but I have yet to hear from you. Hide

A perfect spot for a lovely break in the lakes. We enjoyed the quietness of the location even though it was a 5 minute drive from Ambleside town centre. We will definitely come back again to this wonderful holiday let.

A lovely apartment set in beautiful grounds above Ambleside. A fantastic location. You feel like you are way out in the countryside but are only minutes away from the town. The apartment is decorated and furnished to a high standard but could be improved with the kitchen being better equipped, and a small bin being put in the bedroom or bathroom. Beautiful, stylish apartment, with stunning views from the veranda. Walking distance to Ambleside village, but a real sense of being in the heart of the country.

Disappointed with cleanliness of property on entering. Patio doors marked with fingerprints all over top and bottom. Cobwebs in bedroom. Glass coffee table not cleaned. Steepish steps to access property could be difficult for disabled. Shower room nice but water leaked onto floor everyday. Super flat in a great location. Well equipped kitchen and good size shower room. Excellent Wi-Fi. The mattress was too soft for me but this did not stop me enjoying my stay. Ideal accommodation for a couple.

Great apartment, lovely views, really peaceful. The walk back up the Struggle is as the name suggests a struggle. Overall a wonderful holiday.
