We really enjoyed the location of this cottage. This is a huge plus and the cottage was generally a comfortable stay with basic equipment. Parking was unavailable in the lane on arrival, but we managed to find a spot nearby. Unfortunately, it appears cleaning is down to the people who stay and this didn't seem to have been done particularly well. BRead moreedside tables were extremely dusty and pillows had blood stains on them. We hoovered on departure as requested and found a lot of areas that clearly had not seen a hoover in a while. Overall, for the price we paid and the location I would recommend. Hide

A beautiful little cottage and I agree with other comments previously posted. Bus every 2 hours - we caught the bus to Chideock and then walked back to the cottage from Seatown via the South West Coast path - 6.5 miles. We also walked to Cogden beach and back and found small fossil stones on there just lying on the beach. Beautiful coast and theRead more sand in Weymouth was perfect! Lovely cosy evenings in front of the fire but warm enough to sit out in the garden with a coffee first thing. Lovely! Hide

A lovely, quaint cottage that has a fabulous garden, is very comfortable and in a lovely location: shop and a few pubs close by. Amazing beach nearby with a great beach bar. Lovely quaint cottage. Spacious comfortable lounge with log burner. Nice airy bedroom and large landing, great for storing suitcases. Tiny kitchen but not a problem. Lovely garden. Bathroom and kitchen a bit tired looking but have to bear in mind it is16th century. Low door frames a hazard if you are tall although plenty of "Mind Your Head" noticesRead more. Good info folders. Great location, 2 pubs - advance booking required, PO/general store, bus stop, roadside parking, Hive beach close by. Hide

Lovely little cottage in a friendly and picturesque village. A good base from which to explore the Jurassic coast. The bed was very soft - which we normally dislike but it was surprisingly comfortable. Advance booking is recommended for an excellent meal at the pub 3 doors away.
