A nice cottage in a great spot. The driveway is a bit hard to get out of, with very tight turning needed due to a low flower bed that you need to watch out for. If they took four feet off the end, things would be a lot better.

Glad to be back at Church Lane Cottage and in Cley-Next-The-Sea. Church Lane Cottage is always a joy to stay in, though we were a little but disappointed that some of the homely or cosy touches that used to be there have disappeared over the years (e.g. the standard lamp has gone from the sitting room and the table lamp which used to be in the hallRead more had gone walkies but we did find that in the smallest bedroom and put it back in the hall for our stay. We also noticed that there seemed to be fewer ornaments in the sitting room than before. But these are very minor items and in any case weve seen other guests leave poor reviews because of the things we like so its also a matter of personal taste. Overall an absolute joy again. The new house being built next door looks like a ghastly monstrosity but we were impressed by how quiet the builders were all week and aside from the massive pothole in the lane that the builders lorries have made we were pleasantly surprised and very pleased that the construction work was barely noticeable to us at all. (We were out walking and visiting places most of the time and didnt use the conservatory or sit in the garden to eat: had we done so the building work might have been a bit more of an issue.) We plan to book again for next year! We certainly recommend Church Lane Cottage for anyone who likes a comfortable and homely place to stay especially if, like us, you are tired of ultra modern and ultra bland decor and just want to relax and enjoy the countryside and the wildlife. A spacious and comfortable cottage, very well placed for 2 bird watching couples. We were warned that there would be builders next door but we barely noticed them and they did not disturb us.

We loved our week in Church Lane cottage, it is in a great position in the village, being on a quiet lane but with ease of access to the village shops, bus routes and all the lovely walks. Very handy for the NWT bird reserve too. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. We would definitely recommend the cottage and hope to return at some pointRead more. Hide

Although somewhat 'a dated feel' about it; I found the property very clean, well equipped (but missing a floor mop) and homely. I slept in the double bedroom, which is very pleasant, with a comfortable bed, good sized ensuite, and is a nice light room with the access to conservatory. The enclosed garden, and nearby access to walks, is ideal for dogRead mores. Hide

This bungalow was perfect for our needs. Location great for local walks, bird watching and visiting local shop, deli and restaurants. Good parking for two cars. Plenty of space and cupboards. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms good. The property could be updated but no doubt this would be reflected in the price.
