The cottage is well placed for access to the sandy beaches at Embleton Bay, Low Newton-by-the-Sea, and Beadnell Bay for picnics, rock pooling, and water sports. Walk to the village pub/restaurant after a day out exploring this beautiful area or sit and enjoy the sun in the cottage garden. Enjoy a walk on the scenic coastal path after a tasty seafood lunch in Craster (5 miles) to see the impressive ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle. Play golf in Embleton, Seahouses, and Bamburgh. Visit magnificent Bamburgh Castle (9.5 miles), stroll on the expansive beach, and browse the village shops, friendly pubs, and restaurants. Take a boat trip to the Farne Islands from Seahouses and enjoy afternoon tea at Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum.

 The front door of this pretty, single-storey cottage leads into a small hallway. Head into the spacious, open-plan lounge/dining room with wood flooring and a large inglenook fireplace. After a day out and about exploring, you can relax on the comfortable seating surrounding the fireplace to read a book, watch some TV or catch up with a film from the DVD collection. The dining table can seat six should you have any guests to entertain at dinner and there is a radio for background music. The galley-style kitchen has a tiled floor and is well equipped to prepare your meals. A door leads to the double bedroom, at the rear of the cottage, while the twin bedroom at the front of the cottage has an en-suite shower and WC. The family bathroom has an electric shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, there is an enclosed, west-facing garden to the rear with garden furniture where you can sit in the sunshine with drinks and listen to the birdsong or dine alfresco. You also have super views of the dark, starry skies at night-time

Cosy cottage. Very comfortable beds. heating very warm. Kitchen very small but well equiped with everything you could want. Close to lots of beaches which is fantastic if you have a dog.

Lovely cottage, very cosy and comfortable. Well equipped, comfortable beds, quiet village location. Great location to explore Northumberland coast. Little garden area is lovely, and enclosed. Look forward to returning again

A wonderful base from which to explore the Northumbria coast although you will need to drive to one of the many beaches. The cottage is beautiful inside and out and the fire place was superbly cosy especially as the nights are getting a bit cooler! All in all, a great week away.

Botany Garden Cottage is lovely. It is warm and cosy and very well equipped. The double bed is really comfortable, the towels are nice and thick and the bed linen felt crisp and new. The wi-fi works well. The garden is really pretty and private. I feel the host had given a lot of thought to guests' comfort and loved my stay here.

Nice cottage in a good location. Although parking for one car if you have a larger car you will overhang the pavement. Double bedroom quite small with difficulty walking round tge bed. Kitchen wad compact but contained everything you could need. Lovely lounge , TV and dining area. Enclosed rear garden but no grass for the dogs. Clean and quiet. This cottage is absolutely fabulous, clean, well kept, well equipped with all the mod cons. Its perfectly located as a base to explore both the coast and inland of Northumberland. Lovely couple of days spent in this cottage after a busy Easter wedding weekend. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped with a lovely peaceful garden with lots of sitting areas and great for our dog to roam around safely. The cottage is within walking distance of the local pub and within close proximity of the beautiful Northumberland coRead moreast. We visited low newton beach and had dinner at the shop which I would recommend all in all a very enjoyable stay Hide

The cottage is lovely. The location of the cottage is Christon Bank, which has a friendly pub that sadly doesn't serve food, but welcomes dogs. There is no shop, so come prepared with provisions when staying here.

Excellent Cottage with a large enclosed rear garden. Plenty of well established plants and tasteful garden furniture. Overall a perfect cottage inside and out.
