If you don't mind a tricky steep access, bugs, grubby upholstery and things not working properly then you'll be okay here. I didn't like it at all. I'm approaching 70 and my daughter is pregnant. No-one said we had to negotiate an incredibly steep hill with our luggage, food etc to get to the cottage - an important thing to know if you have mobilitRead morey issues. It was really difficult for us. My first impression on reaching the cottage was of the grubby sofa, then the profusion of spiders and wood lice, even a grasshopper. The back door opens onto an alleyway where the previous guests had piled up their rubbish. No wonder there were rat traps out there. The shower stuck on hot the first night, so was unusable on a very hot day. The worst incident, on another very hot day, was when the TV which has been balanced precariously on a too small TV unit fell over and smashed. It was incredibly lucky no-one was hurt. The TV had been secured to the stand with bodge tape - yes, bodge tape! Hide

The cottage is in a good location in Beer with easy access to the lovely town below. It is a good size and is well equipped but a bit dated and needed a deep clean. The parking permit is a good addition.
