The pet-friendly cottage sleeps four guests, perfect for couples and small families who adore getting out and about. There are some fabulous walks to explore in and around the village, including along the banks of the River Stour and at Holbrook Creek. Further afield, visit the stunning Dedham Vale (10 miles) and the mesmerising landscapes of Constable Country. You’ll also be just 2 miles from Alton Water, with its network of walking and cycling routes. This space is decorated in calming, natural tones and is the ideal spot to relax after a long, countryside walk. Rustle up delicious feasts using local ingredients in the stylish kitchen area and gather at the dining table to admire the far-reaching rural views before cosying up on the sofa in front of the roaring wood burner. Rounding off the ground floor is a stylish bathroom and a handy utility cupboard. Upstairs, two inviting bedrooms await, both featuring gorgeous, antique-style furniture and enjoying tranquil countryside views. You’ll also find a shower room on this level, along with a third room with a sofa and a lovely desk.

We had a wonderfully peaceful week in Oak View Cottage, the space was well thought through, clean and extremely well equipped. Loved our stay at the cottage. Very clean, comfortable and everything you could need. Wood burning fire was great as it was unseasonable cold when we stayed. But the modern heating system kept us warm. Top class shower upstairs and gorgeous bath downstairs. Traditional and modern in the best way. Very quiet and relaxing, beautiful views. Really beautiful stay, the house has everything you need and is so comfortable! Very close to Ipswich and flatford (around 15/20 minutes drive for each). The garden could be made more secure for dogs, but otherwise perfect!

This is a fab cottage in one of my favourite areas. It is well appointed and has comfy furniture and beds. It was hot weather when we stayed and liked the patio was wrapped around the back of the house so could find a cool spot in the mornings. The views from the cottage were super. We had a deer in the back garden, woodpeckers and other birds. Cant say enough about how much as a party of four adults we enjoyed our time here. The shower was good and the kitchen very well equipped. Easy parking for two cars.

This cottage is in a great location. The garden was huge and Dylan, our dog, loved chasing the squirrels and, apologies, next door neighbours cats. Inside, the cottage was comfortable with everything we needed for our week's stay. The small welcome pack was very much appreciated and John, the owner, came round to make we had settled in OK.
