Hindringham is perfectly located in the middle (East to West) of the stunning North Norfolk coastline, set a few miles inland in the beautiful countryside. It’s a perfect base from which to explore the many jewels North Norfolk has to offer. Just a short drive away, visit the renowned Thursford Collection (2 miles) with its collection of steam engines and organs, festive light display and Christmas Spectacular show. For seaside fun, Wells-next-the-Sea (8 miles) offers a charming harbour and golden beach, while Holkham Beach (9 miles) is perfect for peaceful walks. You can’t miss Holkham Hall (9.5 miles), where visitors can explore stunning grounds and learn about the history of the estate. Nature lovers will enjoy the Holkham National Nature Reserve and the Cley Marshes Nature Reserve (both within 9 miles), where birdwatching and binocular spots await. From Blakeney (7 miles), you can take a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney Point, making it a perfect day out for families looking to enjoy Norfolk’s natural beauty. Holt, a pretty market town bursting with charm, is 8 miles away and provides an array of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants.

Step inside this chocolate-box cottage to find yourselves in a charming hallway. A handy utility room with washing facilities is found on your right, and a shower room on the left. Head through to the appealing, farmhouse-style kitchen/diner to discover an electric range cooker and plenty of appliances to cook up a storm with your locally bought produce. Dine around the central wooden table that seats six to eight or carry plates through the stable door to the garden on bright days. Relax after a day of exploring in the snug, where a sofa and Smart TV offer evenings of tranquillity. Alternatively, snuggle up in front of the wood burner in the cosy lounge and enjoy a few chapters of your book. When it’s time to retire for the night, follow the gentle, carpeted main staircase from the snug to the three inviting bedrooms: a super-king-size, a double and a twin bedroom, which can be converted into a super-king-size bed on request. The largest bedroom can also be reached via its separate seventeenth century Norfolk winder staircase, its steep timeworn steps trodden by centuries of feet. All three bedrooms share access to the welcoming bathroom, boasting a tub for those long, relaxed soaks.

The outside offers a glorious suntrap patio with plenty of furniture and a parasol for al fresco dining. Each evening, enjoy a tipple as you recline on the sun loungers or fire up the BBQ and tuck into a grilled feast around the table. Six steps lead up from the terrace to the large and enclosed lawn, ideal for kids (and dogs!) to run off energy. A gate in the garden fence gives direct, road-free access to the wonderful village recreation ground, complete with children’s play area. Two to three private parking spaces and an electric car charging point are available on this property.

We had a really nice time at Hollyhocks and would strongly recommend it. One of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. The welcome guide was superbly written - just what we needed to know. The house was also really well and thoughtfully equipped. We also loved the look and feel, wooden beams etc. We were lucky with the weather but would most definiRead moretely return after a really enjoyable stay. Hide

What a fantastic cottage equipped with everything to provide a relaxing holiday. Lots of 'bells and whistles' made this cottage stand out from the crowd! Very dog friendly and well located to visit all our favourite places! We will return!

A great place to stay to explore the north Norfolk area. The cottage had everything you could ever possibly need and was a relaxing and comfy stay. The enclosed garden was great for our little dog. I would recommend and we would stay again in the future.

A great cottage for multi-generation / family getaway. Perfect location for all North Norfolk coastal locations and nearby towns. The cottage had everything we needed and more, including toys that our baby loved playing with. A lovely home from home.

Our stay at Hollyhocks Cottage really was so special. The cottage is beautiful, and the attention to detail throughout the property is great. Anna and Jonathan couldn't have been more helpful as hosts! They were always on hand if we had any questions, and the property is very very well equipped, particularly in the kitchen. Not only does the cottagRead moree look lovely, but it's comfortable and cosy too... Without a doubt we would stay here again. Thanks for an amazing stay! Hide

That there were books and toys for our 18month granddaughter was wonderful! And the stair gate was very useful. Thank you!
