Tucked away down a forest track nestled in the heart of the beautiful Forest of Dean, this welcoming cottage is the perfect rural retreat for families looking to unwind and explore the great outdoors. There are miles of walking and cycling trails to suit all abilities, while the nearby River Wye is a fantastic setting for canoeing and kayaking, with stunning views along the way. Thrill-seekers can even try rock climbing and abseiling for an unforgettable family challenge. For a taste of local history, the Dean Heritage Centre and Hopewell Colliery (both within 5 miles) offer a fascinating look back at the area’s industrial past. The area is also home to the Dean Forest Railway and Perrygrove Railway (both within 10 miles) for train enthusiasts, young and old. Puzzlewood (8 miles) is a magical woodland setting where children can let their imaginations run wild, and Go Ape! (5 miles) offers treetop thrills. Alternatively, take a leisurely wander through Gloucester’s Victorian Docklands (15 miles), visit the stunning cathedral, and browse the shops at Gloucester Quays.
