Perfect for exploring the Jurassic Coast – famous for beaches, fossils and incredible scenery – this detached bungalow is ideal for couples or families. This cottage is set on a quiet no-through road and has direct access to the cliff and its picturesque cliff walk with stunning views of the sea. Reach West Bay’s West Beach in around 300 metres. Dominated by 50-metre-high sandstone cliffs, it’s safe for paddling (with lifeguards in the summer), and from here you can wander over to the harbour to pick up some food. There are boat trips from the harbour, too, or you can hire a rowing boat to experience the calm and peaceful River Brit. Just 2 miles away, the vibrant market town of Bridport has a renowned antiques quarter and an interesting mix of shops and places to eat, plus a live music venue and arts centre. A little further afield, Abbotsbury Swannery is 10 miles away, and the picturesque Lyme Regis is just 11 miles.

Park outside, where there’s room for two cars, and head into the spacious hallway. To the front of the property is the long lounge/diner, decorated with a lovely mix of stylish antique and modern furnishings. At one end, an antique-style extending dining table, that can seat up to six, offers a comfortable spot to linger over meals, while at the other end there’s a choice of seating gathered around a wood burner-effect electric fire. The lounge also boasts lovely large windows letting in lots of natural light, plus a Smart TV that gives you options for entertainment if you decide to spend the evening at home. In the large, country-style kitchen the cook of the holiday will find everything needed to prepare all kinds of meals, and there’s a coffee machine for that all-important morning beverage. When night falls, the beautiful double bedroom boasts patio doors to the garden, and an en-suite shower. The twin room has views of the garden and a built-in wardrobe. Completing the interior is a stylish bathroom.

To the back of the house, the lovely garden is mostly lawn with a winding stone path. Fully enclosed, it has mature trees at its far end, which looks towards open countryside. Please note that there is no access to the garage at the front.
