Absolutely wonderful place! The house and grounds were lovely. Well equipped with all you needed, very clean on arrival. Highly recommend the fishermans arms, which is a short stroll from the end of the garden, some of the best cooked food we have had in ages!

The cottage is very spacious and a great place for a large group to stay. All the beds were comfortable, and there were a lot of bathrooms. I'd recommend bringing basic facilities (eg there was no soap in any of the bathrooms, and no tea or coffee). On the whole it was a lovely place, felt very private, and the kitchen was great for cooking a largeRead more meal for 12 people with lots of glasses and crockery. Hide

Docklow House is really beautiful. It was clean and very well appointed with large luxurious bedrooms a large dining room, kitchen and lounge. The children really appreciated the cinema room which was a big hit as was the pool table. The outside garden is massive and was fabulous for the children, cricket, frisbee et cetera, we really loved it. ThRead moree smaller children loved the wicker acorn in the garden. We have three generations, including toddlers, and there was something for everyone. The owl walk and the wilderness walk were lovely for a family outing. We also went to the carvery, the food was amazing, the staff were exceptionally helpful, especially as we have a coeliac granddaughter. We would love to come again. Hide
