Make memories that will last a lifetime from the tranquility of Hen Barn in Upper Gresham. In its own peaceful setting at the end of a long woodland drive, this detached cottage is filled with local artwork and intriguing decor. Gresham is right on the edge of the Norfolk Coast, putting an array of incredible beaches within effortless reach - the quintessential seaside towns of Sheringham (3 miles) and Cromer (6.5 miles), home to wide, sandy beaches and plenty of seaside charm, or Salthouse (7 miles), with its swathe of dune-backed sands. An abundance of seabirds and fantastic wildlife can be spotted along this coastline, including seals from nearby Blakeney (10 miles). Visit Norfolk’s National Trust hidden gems of Felbrigg (5 miles) and Blickling Hall (9 miles) which offer large gardens and estates ready for exploring and the Georgian market town of Holt (6.5 miles) with its expansive, surrounding country park.

Open-aspect rooms, large windows letting in ample light, and splashes of colour feature throughout this property’s two floors. Step inside and enjoy socialising in the vast open-plan living space, a room with comfy seating, a versatile dining area and everything you need to rustle up a delicious dish in the kitchen. The first of three bedrooms is located downstairs, a twin room with small single beds with en-suite facilities with a shower. This twin room also houses the utility cupboard. Upstairs, the galleried mezzanine with a desk and chair overlooks the living area with access to the remaining two bedrooms and a bathroom with corner bath.

Outside, French doors lead to a large wrap-around garden. This outdoor area is unenclosed, so care should be taken with younger guests. However it benefits from the tranquility and far-reaching views of the countryside surrounding it.

Again nothing easily fixed. Property location is good for accessing other places nearby in various directions but immediate location doesn't give access to walking from the property .

This cottage is in a good location. We booked fairly last minute for Easter weekend. It is a mezzanine style, twin room with en suite shower downstairs (very trickly shower so hard to wash a full head of long hair), then on the mezzanine level, two double bedrooms and bathroom with bath. Decor is nice and it is bright. Comfortable beds and sofa. WhRead moreat let the property down was the cleanliness. The glasses and plates were murky and had to be rewashed, the oven gloves had dried food on them. Cobwebs everywhere and dead flies in the bath which we had to clean ourselves before children could have a bath. The freezer is unfortunately held together by wires, and the fridge is missing a shelf, the one shelf that is there doesnt have a front on it, so if you are not careful then things fall out when you open the door. If these things were rectified then it would be great. Hide
