This delightful semi-detached character cottage is located in the Lake District National Park close to Cartmel and Newby Bridge, making it ideal for family or friends wishing to enjoy and explore this stunning area. Ideally situated close by to the nearby village of Cartmel through open countryside which can be walked to along the footpath next to the cottage (1 mile), home to the famous sticky toffee pudding, an array of excellent gastropubs, and the renowned L'Enclume restaurant, as well as an ancient 12th century priory in Cartmel and the UK’s smallest racecourse which meets during the spring and summer months. The Southern tip of Lake Windermere at Newby Bridge (3.5 miles) is also close by, where you can enjoy a steam train ride, which meanders to Haverthwaite, you can also embark on a Lakeland steam cruise from the jetty here to popular Bowness and Ambleside, which has The World of Beatrix Potter among its many attractions.

This wonderful cottage is in a perfect location for exploring the southern Lake District area, with flag stone floors in the lounge as you enter, you can make yourself at home in the lounge, with its smart TV, comfy sofas and log burner, evening can be spent cuddled up together. The dining table features at the back of this open plan layout, perfect for entertaining and getting together over breakfast to plan the day ahead. The kitchen is stylish with quality features and granite work surfaces, there is ample space for the chef of the group. Upstairs the bedrooms are tastefully decorated, both the king and twin bedrooms provide panoramic views to the open countryside through the sash windows, which have plantation shutters. On the same floor you can find the contemporary, quality bathroom with a freestanding bath providing the perfect place to soak and relax in after your day's activities.

Outside, there is an enclosed patio courtyard with furniture, ideal for enjoying a coffee or dining alfresco whilst enjoying the open views to the surrounding countryside.

We had a lovely time. A bottle of wine, milk, tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival. What a welcome. The cottage was immaculate. Bed was amazing, extremely comfortable. Marcus who came to clean as we were leaving was very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of tips for the area. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thank you. Carol Jones.

Had a lovely stay, loved the cottage which had everything we needed. Comfy , spacious bedrooms and a modern well done bathroom. Lounge was cosy and heating was efficient when needed. Welcome pack of milk, biscuits and wine was much appreciated. The location is quiet which is what we wanted, but getting to Cartmel and Grange only takes a few mins byRead more car.We enjoyed a visit to Holker hall and gardens, only 10 mins away. Would definitely stay here again! Hide

Lovely stay in the cottage. Really great to have an enclosed yard for the dogs. Only a few minutes drive to Cartmel with all it offers which was great.
