Answer the call of the coast at this idyllic seaside getaway nestled a stone’s throw from the heart of Whitby, the perfect setting for a romantic couples retreat along the glorious North Yorkshire coastline. Whitby, known for its connections to Bram Stoker’s Dracula, has embraced its association with Gothic culture, mirrored in the town’s cobbled streets and unique shops. Overlooking the town centre, explore the ruins of the 13th-century Whitby Abbey, 1.5 miles away, to be rewarded with spectacular sea views of the harbour and beyond. Visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum less than a mile away to learn about Whitby's connection to the famous explorer or take to the water yourself on a boat trip from the harbour half a mile away. For a change of scenery, set out to discover the dramatic landscapes of the North York Moors National Park (2 miles) that surrounds the town.

Light and bright, the spacious entrance hallway welcomes you into this stunning home-from-home. Walk through to the cosy lounge, which perfectly combines original features with extra special homely touches; unwind and watch the world go by through the magnificent large bay window. The spacious dining room is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of something chilled as you plan tomorrow’s adventure, with the adjoining contemporary kitchen a haven for creative minds, equipped with everything you need to rustle up something delicious with your fabulous local produce. Sharing the same charm and character as the ground floor, the king-size bedroom upstairs, complete with a soft, neutral colour palette, embraces a truly peaceful ambience and the handy en-suite shower in the corner of the room ensures you kick start your day feeling refreshed. You’ll also find an elegant family bathroom on this level.

Outside, soak up the distant sounds of Whitby’s bustling harbour as you enjoy your morning coffee in the small courtyard. Outside, there is on-street parking (subject to availability).

A pleasant house, well equipped and clean, with good access to the town. We were able to park our car nearby (on street) which was welcome. A handy 'Railway Chippy' just a few streets away with good quality meals to take out.

A well appointed property in excellent decorative order, clean and fresh. The property has been modernised to a very high standard, is spacious and furnished with very good quality furniture. We stayed in March when, for part of the week, the weather was very cold but the property was warm and comfortable. The location is excellent with the centRead morere of Whitby a short walk away. Street parking is available although, at the weekends, we found there was competition for parking spaces. Hide
