Located close to the Medieval Market Village of Lenham (2 miles), this unique listed oast-house has been lovingly rebuilt with the original roundel painstakingly restored. Nestled in the picturesque Kent countryside, it’s perfect for keen walkers and cyclists to explore the local trails or for simply enjoying the peaceful space and far-reaching views. Leeds Castle is 4 miles away offering plenty of family-friendly activities. Keen foodies will enjoy all that the Garden of England has to offer with a multitude of local vineyards, breweries and artisan food producers to sample. Some 12 miles to the north is the market town of Faversham – home to Shepherd Neame brewery. Chatham Historic Dockyard is 20 miles away – with acres of interesting displays and ships to explore. Rochester (an ancient City) with its Castle and Cathedral is 25 minutes away and while the fabulous beaches of the Kent coast are only 50 minutes away.

Step inside this stunning listed oast house and into the welcoming hallway. Hang your coats before heading down a small set of steps into the cosy and inviting lounge. Light the wood burner on a chilly evening and gather the family together for a night of board games. Alternatively, wander into the adjacent entertainment room where plush seating surrounds the large Smart TV, and a sound bar offers a cinema-style experience while you watch your favourite films. For a spot of friendly competition, challenge your group to a foosball tournament. Heading back up into the main hallway you’ll find the large kitchen/diner across the hall − a light and bright social space for entertaining. Whip up a delicious family meal in the well-equipped kitchen and gather everyone together around the traditional farmhouse table with seating for all. The beautifully restored roundel feature of this oast house offers a cosy snug with a sofa for curling up with a good book, and a handy desk and chair should you need to catch up on emails. Completing the ground floor is a utility room and a cloakroom with WC. Heading upstairs, you will find the master bedroom featuring the carefully restored roundel brickwork as well as an inviting double bed, dressing area and uniquely curved en-suite shower room with WC. There are a further two bedrooms: a double and a twin room which share the Jack and Jill shower room with WC.

Heading outside there are multiple areas in which to enjoy the sunshine. A patio with a dining set and a gas BBQ are the perfect addition for outside entertaining. Soak up the warm rays with a glass of something chilled over on the welcoming rattan sofa. Private parking is available for two cars.

What a gem of a property! We had a wonderful time staying at Elmstone Oast House - such a beautiful property with a fascinating history and so lovingly restored. Everything was beautifully appointed and pristine, it is a truly exceptional place with fantastic hosts, who have thought of everything (the lovely thoughtful touches such as the cocktail Read morehamper and welcome treats did not go unnoticed and made it feel like a realhome from home). The games room/snug, Rayburn, log burner, games chest and table tennis table made this the perfect family accommodation for all generations. We cant wait to come back! Hide

Exceptional place with exceptional hosts. Very high quality accomodation, equipment, location, versatile arrangement. Fully eqquiped kitchen and the added beautiful touch of the Rayburn cooker. Wildlife coming onto the grounds made the week for our daughter. The log burner and games room/tv area was fantastic. Highly recommended spot. Thank you.
