This sweet character property sleeping three guests is a perfect holiday base for a couple or small family planning to explore the beautiful Isle of Purbeck. The pretty cottage is within 200 metres of landmark Corfe Castle, with its dramatic ruins standing above the village, and just 5 miles from golden beaches at Studland and Swanage. Both are favourites for their gently sloping sands and safe swimming, and there are glorious walks along the South West Coast Path with splendid views across to Old Harry Rocks and the Isle of Wight. Climb aboard the Swanage Railway steam train from Corfe Castle and enjoy a stroll down the seaside resort’s delightful Victorian pier or a boat trip along the coast. Durlston Country Park (6 miles) is a wonderful clifftop nature reserve with a visitor centre, while Worth Matravers (4 miles) is a picturesque setting of limestone cottages clustered around a village green and duck pond.
Ceiling beams, wooden latch doors and a brick chimney breast testify to the character of the living room as you enter this delightful cottage. Comfortable seating set around a wood burner-effect electric fire, plus a Smart TV, enhance its charm. A step up leads to the kitchen/diner, with a traditional tiled floor and pretty crockery on display alongside the dining table. Leading off this room is the utility room and French doors opening onto the courtyard garden. Head upstairs from the living room to find two inviting bedrooms. One is an inviting double, with a lovely view of rooftops and the Purbecks, ceiling beams and a pretty colour theme. The other is a lovely single room. A family bathroom completes the first-floor layout.
Outside, the rear courtyard garden has two peaceful seating areas. One is reached from the kitchen, while the other is up steps from where you can enjoy the sun setting across the Purbeck hills. Parking is on a first come, first served basis on the road opposite the property, with more parking on a nearby side road.
