Wimborne Minster has a range of great pubs, cafes and restaurants, and is named after the medieval church at the centre of the town. The town is just a mile from the southern edge of the magnificent Cranborne Chase National Landscape, with landmarks including the Iron Age Badbury Rings, the 18th-century White Mill and the magnificent stately home Kingston Lacy, all within 5 miles. The popular seaside resort of Bournemouth is to the south (9 miles).

Entering this characterful hideaway, the welcoming hallway has space to leave coats and muddy boots before you head through to the sociable dining room with a handsome central country-style dining table and a warming wood burner. From the dining room, you can move through to the fully equipped and stylishly arranged kitchen. From the kitchen, a door leads into a handy shower room with a WC. Doors from both the kitchen and shower room lead out to the garden. Heading upstairs, the first floor features a refreshing bathroom complete with a freestanding roll-top bath and separate shower. We found the cottage and garden very pleasant, the cottage decorated and furnished just to our taste. Both bathroom and downstairs shower room were excellent, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The solar lighting in the garden in the evening were lovely. The cottage was in a good position for the town which had lots of bars and eating placesRead more. Hide
