We had a wonderful stay at The Hive during the recent floods and storms which when inside this beautiful cosy warm cottage we were oblivious to the outside elements. The standard of furnishings in the cottage are superb and the beds so comfortable it was hard to get up in the mornings! We also enjoyed using the log burner adding an extra cosy andRead more homely dimension to the cottage. Thank you also for the lovely welcome hamper of tea, coffee, biscuits and delicious home made marmalade, much appreciated. Despite the weather we still enjoyed getting outside for walks in the surrounding areas of Burton Bradstock such a pretty and friendly village. We enjoyed drinks at The Anchor very close to the cottage and we had a lovely meal out at the Three Horseshoes. We visited some lovely nearby places, Bridport, Seatown, West Bay and Abbotsbury and enjoyed watching the incredible seas crashing on to the beaches! We highly recommend this cottage and will definitely be returning. Thank you! Hide

This is a delightful cottage in a lovely village. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and we were particularly impressed by the array of walking guides and information about the local area. We made use of the local pub/shop plus the swimming pool at the nearby Freshwater Caravan Park which is open to non-residents

A beautifully presented cottage in an unbeatable location! We had the most wonderful stay at this cottage. The whole place has clearly been recently renovated (the new stone floor is gorgeous) and the cottage is deceptively spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean throughout. The welcome hamper was such a treat, filled with high-quality local Read moregoodies including homemade pickle, freshly baked bread, biscuits and jam. It really set the tone for the rest of the stay. The living areas are cosy and extremely well thought out, with a brilliant wood burner (logs provided), while the shower was one of the best weve had in a holiday cottage. Outside, the long garden is a real highlight. The sun house at the end is perfect for an evening drink while catching the last of the Winter sunshine. The location couldnt be better. Just a short walk to Hive Beach and the ever-popular Hive Beach Cafe, and just a few minutes drive into Bridport. We also had an excellent dinner at the nearby Three Horseshoes pub, which was cosy, friendly and served superb food. The owners have truly thought of everything, and we would absolutely book again. Without question, this is one of the best places weve ever stayed. Highly recommended. Hide

Fabulous, clean, cosy cottage, well equipped and in an excellent location. Could do with some slightly more comfortable seating in the lounge area but we would definitely book again.

Lovely little cottage, very clean and well thought out use of space. It was a bonus to have basic kitchen bits like, cooking oil, salt and pepper and some spices. The cottage doesn't have private parking, but we didn't have any issues finding somewhere to park less than 50 metres away.
