In the peaceful hilltop hamlet of Walton West, the property is perfectly located between two contrasting Pembrokeshire seaside gems. Just half a mile to the west is the picturesque seaside village of Little Haven. The sheltered shingle-backed sandy beach is overlooked by three pubs and two cafes where you can watch the traffic of kayaks, paddleboards, sailing and fishing boats. Venture a mile in the other direction to reach Broad Haven Beach, which offers good surfing and rockpools to explore. The two beaches are linked at low tide with an unbroken mile of golden sand. The famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs through the villages, offering stunning walks to beautiful coastal spots. For trips further afield, head to vibrant Milford Haven Marina, the peaceful harbour at Dale (both 6.5 miles), glorious Pembroke Castle (13 miles) or the historic cathedral city of St Davids (17 miles).
The spacious stone-built house dates back to the 1800s and has all the rustic charm of an old character property. You enter via a side door leading into a generously sized conservatory with tiled floors and stunning sea views out over St Brides Bay. Three steps bring you up into the lounge which was the original old school room. There are three sofas centred around the TV. You'll notice quirky original features throughout adding to the charm of this unique holiday home. Leading off from the lounge is a games room with a pool table – ideal for family groups. Head into the kitchen which leads into an open-plan lounge/diner with more sofa seating, creating the perfect space to spend time as a family, preparing and eating meals together. There is a twin bedroom on the ground floor (one double and one single bed) with an en-suite bathroom. Off the lounge is a further double bedroom. The other two bedrooms are on the first floor accessed via a staircase leading up from the lounge/diner. There is a king-size room and a single room, both offering ample storage for your belongings. Completing the first floor is a family bathroom.
Externally, the house has a large courtyard terrace with outdoor seating and dining areas, plus a charcoal BBQ to enjoy al fresco dining on those warm summer evenings. The property also has the benefit of 4 acres of natural garden with woodland trails, a stream, a pond and a meadow. This offers plenty of space for family walks or exercising your four-legged friend. Please note, as the pond is unfenced, children and animals should be supervised at all times.
