Get away from it all at this peaceful and private retreat − perfect for a couple who love the natural world. This enticing luxury bespoke pod is just a few steps from the sights and sounds of the river, yet less than a mile from picturesque Upton upon Severn. The bustling market town is renowned for its charming black-and-white buildings and has a great selection of independent shops, cafes and traditional pubs. Take a scenic boat trip along the river and visit the landmark Pepperpot Heritage Centre, housed in the remains of a 13th-century church. The glorious Malvern Hills, a magnet for walkers with far-reaching views across Wales, are within easy reach. Elegant Great Malvern (7 miles) is a Victorian spa town packed with galleries, bookshops and theatres, while the magnificent gardens at Little Malvern Court House (6 miles) are a must-see together with the Malvern Showground which hosts events all year round.

Charming porthole windows and glass doors opening onto the garden flood the timber-built pod with light. Inside, discover the hand picked furnished interior, finished to a high standard throughout, with thoughtful touches. The main living space offers tranquil garden views from a comfortable couple's sofa, upholstered in nautical stripes, together with a neat table and chairs for cosy dining. Cooking for two with fresh local produce will be a pleasure in the well-planned white kitchen, where a vintage standard lamp adds a quirky touch. The separate, double bedroom has more garden views and is truly a romantic retreat, housing a Victorian-style bed frame dressed in gorgeous linens and heaped with cushions. Next door is a spacious shower room and WC, with dressing gowns provided. Lamps and pictures enhance the cosy appeal of this super property.

Outside, find seating for quiet drinks and warm-weather dining in the large, enclosed garden, sheltered by mature trees. You also have access to private mooring in the summer months, which includes fishing rights on the river.

Wow - What a wonderful little place to stay! The setting is calm and peaceful, with a lovely view of the river. We were made to feel so welcome. The personal card, along with the welcome gifts (particularly the wine) were a lovely touch that added to our stay. The accommodation is well set out and the owners have clearly thought about the finer detRead moreails needed to make the space work. Will definitely be looking to return next spring/summer. Hide
