The property has four placid fishing lakes and lies on the outskirts of the historic town of Newport which has a range of friendly places to eat and drink. To the north is Osborne House (4.5 miles), Queen Victoria’s magnificent summer residence set in a beautiful surrounding estate. Cowes is also within easy reach (6.5 miles), home to the famous international regatta. Other local attractions include Monkey Haven, Butterfly World and Carisbrooke Castle, all within 3 miles. To the east is the gorgeous beach at Ryde (6 miles), with the Needles Landmark Attraction over to the west (15 miles).
A couple of steps lead up and into this cheery lodge which features a light and stylishly arranged open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, decorated in fresh, soothing shades. The central lounge space has comfortable seating and a Smart TV, with a charming dining table over by the side and a thoughtfully arranged, fully equipped kitchen to the rear. Exploring the lodge further you will find two cosy bedrooms – a relaxing king-size room and a characterful twin. The accommodation also features a refreshing shower room.
French doors open from the main living area, with a couple of steps leading down onto the relaxing decked space providing a lovely spot to sit back with a drink and take in the views across the lake. To the side there’s a BBQ and a welcoming hot tub. A couple of steps lead up and into the snug and cosy private bar and seating area with a wood burner effect electric fire, perfect for a sociable night in. Keen anglers can try their luck with the four tranquil fishing lakes onsite.
