This welcoming holiday property sits on the edge of the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales National Park, making it a dream getaway for walkers and nature lovers alike. With three king-size en-suite bedrooms, it comfortably sleeps six and is perfect for couples or friends. The accommodation is set within Tupgill Park, home to The Forbidden Corner, one of The Dales' most popular tourist attractions – you’ll get free entry tickets in the summer. There's so much to enjoy on site, from scenic walks and various eateries to a play area that's great for dogs, too. When it’s time to venture outside, you’ll benefit from being in one of England's most sparsely populated areas, with gorgeous scenery and popular beauty spots all around. Head out for scenic treks, and don’t miss the spectacular Aysgarth Falls (9 miles), famously featured in the 1991 box office hit Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The charming market town of Leyburn (4.5 miles) has a weekly market on Fridays – great for picking up fresh produce for home-cooked meals.

Thanks to a charming décor of good-quality furniture and quality fittings, including elegant wooden doors and flooring, the accommodation has a lovely and welcoming feel to it. On arrival, you’ll enter into a light-filled hallway for leaving coats and shoes before stepping into the inviting lounge. This is the perfect spot to unwind with plenty of sofa space for stretching out. The ground floor also boasts a stylish kitchen/diner, with glossy units, stone work surfaces and a high table with bar stools. One of the three king-size bedrooms is downstairs, complete with an en-suite shower room for added privacy. Head upstairs via the hallway to reach two more spacious king-size bedrooms, also both featuring their own en-suite shower rooms.

At the back of the property is a small grassed area which is perfect for relaxing, reading and chatting during those long summer evenings. Furniture and a charcoal BBQ set the scene for fair-weather feasts that carry on late into the night. The cottage has working racing stables adjacent and training on the moorland as short walk from the cottage where you can watch the horses train.

Following from above, the downstairs en-suit sink plug would not hold water, the plug not the waste pipe is the issue, this room also had an odour, not quite sure if it was damp or drainage issue, but was constant. The property is "tied" onto the adjacent Stables, and there is a repetitive low level noise from horses hoof's, transferring through Read morethe floor, at times (dawn ), this did dustrub. The property is accessed up a short but steep road, anybody with walking issues would struggle and families with buggies, we used the car frequently to access the main admin, eating areas, this should be flagged up. We couldn't fault any of the staff or the facilities and qyality foodon offer,"The Forbidden Corner " experience was magical for all, the quality of the interior if the property was of top level, so whilst I'd rate it today as a 7 out of 10, fix the issues this could easily be a 9 or 10. The park itself and surroundings were very beautiful, location was also in an outstanding area, we would return but not in this cottage. Hide
