Full of character, this former farm building is horseshoe-shaped and set all on one level. Its four bedrooms can be set up in versatile ways to cater for groups, whether several couples, large families or a get-together of friends celebrating a special occasion. The property is set within a rolling landscape of wide fields and big skies, 4 miles south of Reepham, a market town with lovely 18th century architecture. For little ones, the Roarr! dinosaur-themed adventure park is just 2 miles away, while The Bug Parc is only 3 miles, entertaining and educational for young and old alike. See heritage trains at Whitwell and Reepham Railway Station, 4 miles, where there’s also a museum and a cafe, or head into Norwich, 10 miles, for some retail therapy. You can reach the coast within 25 miles and explore the delights of Cromer, Sheringham, Mundesley and more.

This gorgeous property is really striking from the first moment you step inside. From the entrance hall, make your way into the serene lounge, which boasts a soaring apex ceiling criss-crossed by sturdy beams, and a brick chimney that dominates one wall. With a long corner sofa, Smart TV and cosy wood burner, this is just the space for snuggling down and completely relaxing. As an alternative for little ones or anyone who wants a quiet few moments on their own, there’s a snug with a Smart TV. The sofa in here converts to a sofa bed on request for additional quests, and there’s also a small desk for catching up with admin. Head through to the kitchen/diner, another large room with a vaulted ceiling and rugged beams, taking note of the spectacular, exposed flint-and-brick walls on your way. The chef of the holiday will be delighted with the facilities here, including a range-style cooker with a gas hob, a microwave, coffee machine and a wine fridge. A long hallway, lined with interesting framed photographs, leads to the four handsome bedrooms and a sleek family bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have an adaptable set up as either super-king-size beds or two singles (please request configuration when booking). The remaining two bedrooms are king-size beds and one has an en-suite wet room.

The generously sized garden includes lawn and a patio where you can dine in the sunshine or under the stars. The private hot tub is the perfect spot for soaking away any aches after a day enjoying the outdoors, and there’s also a courtyard parking area with parking spaces.

  • 4 bedrooms – 2 super-king (which are zip and link beds and can be made up as twins on request), 2 king-size beds

What a wonderful stay at Walnut Tree Barn we can't recommend it highly enough. The hot tubs are absolutely amazing, and the surrounding area is gorgeous. The barn itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully kept, and so well equipped everything you could possibly need. Trevor and Charlotte have been the perfect hosts throughout. We are a family of ninRead moree with a baby and a large dog - every member was welcomed and looked after - even bringing over a baby seat for the little one and dog treats for Arlo. Thank you both so much for having us; we've had a truly lovely time. Hide

We had a wonderful stay at Walnut Tree Barn as a family of two adults, four children, and our large dog. The barn is stunning and incredibly well-equipped, with every little detail thoughtfully considered. We especially appreciated the extra touches, including the hot tub, coffee machine, washer/dryer, toilet rolls, shower gel, shampoo and cRead moreonditioner, and the warm welcome of dog treats, fizz, milk, and fresh sourdough on arrival. Its a perfect base for exploring North Norfolk, and we wouldnt hesitate to return. Highly recommended! Hide

We came here as a family of 5 and two dogs. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay extra special (it was my partners 40th birthday and they put up banners and balloons). Communication was superb from before the trip, and all the way through. This really is a special find and we were so happy with everything about it.
