A really good place to stay if visiting Harwich. High street is only a 10 minute walk away. There is a bus stop right outside the property if you want to use public transport and also good rail links to London or Colchester if you need want to use them. A lovely house, though choosing the top bedroom meant climbing two flights of stairs several times a day, not so good for our 70+ year old knees! The main problem was trying to find somewhere to eat, one day we drove from Frinton back to Dovercourt seeking lunch, passed two pubs, one was closed, the other not serving food. Harwich itself was lackRead moreing pubs that were open when we wanted them. Gastropubs haven't reached this part of Essex yet. As a result, we ended up at The Waterfront four times. Don't drive here along the A12 on a Friday afternoon, known locally as Crash Friday! Hide

This is a very spacious house and the location is great. A great view of the sea from the picture windows. Bring some binoculars so you can watch the ships going into Harwich! Very easy to walk into town and the various eateries. We had a very enjoyable stay and were lucky with the weather!

Lovely big spacious house, there were 7 of us and 3 dogs. We came to celebrate mums 70th and loved the pool table. The large kitchen and table was a great place to be together and has everything you need. House was nice and warm and clean.

Fantastic sized house with great layout. Excellent views of ships coming in and out of Felixstowe. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived, nice sheets and towels. The house is large and has a beautiful view. Parking is no problem, and the basement is fun for the kids. However, I was very disappointed with how dirty we found the house!
