Just returned from a wonderful week in Northumberland, staying in Drovers Cottage (first time) as we love the area (stayed in other cottages previously). The cottage was perfect for us (two adults and a dog), would feel a bit cramped with 4 adults mainly due to the kitchen area being quite compact. Beautiful secure garden for our dog and the fact tRead morehe weather was glorious was a bonus. We ate twice at the Collingwood Arms hotel, a short drive from the cottage and fig friendly. Food was amazing and very friendly staff. The little shop in Cornhill on Tweed (next door to the hotel) has everything you need but Tescos at Berwick isnt too far away. We normally holiday in the lakes but wanted a more relaxing holiday and Northumberland certainly delivered. Will definitely be back and wouldnt hesitate to stay at Drovers Cottage again. Hide

Its a lovely little cottage in lovely surroundings with a long drive where you can walk the dog. The garden is compact and totally enclosed which is really helpful. Worthy of note is the fact that the other cottages are now residential and other dogs were a bit of an issue At times.
