An immaculate Welsh holiday retreat, this charming single-storey lodge offers an idyllic escape for couples, small families, or friends travelling together. Situated on a well-kept park, 2.5 miles from New Quay and 1 mile from Llanarth. Sleeping four guests and welcoming canine companions too, the two-bedroom hideaway makes a great base for exploring beautiful Bae Ceredigion, also known as Cardigan Bay. Head into vibrant New Quay to spend time on its beaches, have a go at water sports, meander through colourful shops and dine out in eateries. Take a boat trip out to sea from the harbour to see if you can spot dolphins and porpoises. Pick up the Wales Coast Path here too and venture 13 miles along the bay to Aberporth, taking in the spectacular seascapes as you go. Treat yourselves to long country walks through the picturesque West Wales countryside around you.

Step up to the large, private enclosed deck of this appealing lodge, and before you head inside, take a moment to appreciate your verdant surroundings of tree-lined hills and other charming holiday lodges. Head inside via the glass door to find yourselves in a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner – the social heart of the home where you can relax in comfort after coastal hikes and dips in the sea. Settle on the sofa or a comfortable chair in front of the Smart TV or curl up to catch up on your holiday read. Take turns whipping up delicious dinners in the well-appointed kitchen area, then dine together at the dining table or out in the fresh air on the spacious deck. When you’re ready to settle in for the night, make your way to the bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. The twin bedroom also benefits from its own en-suite, complete with a walk-in shower.

Make the most of the outdoor space on sunny days. Let your four-legged friend relax with you on the enclosed, south-facing deck while you open a bottle of fizz and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The outdoor table and chairs invite you to savour al fresco meals together at any time of day. Elsewhere on the park, on-site facilities include a laundrette and a bar that hosts a variety of pop-up food events. Guests also benefit from two private parking spaces located next to the lodge.

Lovely lodge and just the right size for both myself, my husband and our two boxer dogs. The location is idyllic and extremely peaceful. The lodge had everything we needed and even included a welcome pack. We will be definitely staying again.

North Star is a small lodge on a quiet, well maintained site. The kitchen is well stocked and the welcome gifts of milk, bread, butter and Welsh Cakes a nice touch. However, although attractive, we did finRead mored the sofa too low for older people like ourselves or anyone with back issues. Hide
