Escape to an outstanding property, sleeping eight guests, for a wonderfully relaxing holiday in the peaceful village of Brent Knoll, where you’ll find a shop and two country pubs. Discover a network of circular footpaths on the doorstep, or stride for miles along the coast from Burnham-on-Sea just 3 miles away. Golf enthusiasts will find quality courses within easy reach. Pretty Brent Knoll shares the name of a 137-metre-high historic landmark dominating the Somerset Levels. Climb to the summit for spectacular views of Glastonbury Tor, the Mendip Hills and across the Bristol Channel to Wales. Burnham-on-Sea’s fine Victorian buildings are a backdrop to the pier, promenade and 7 miles of sand, perfect for kite-flying and castle-building. Further afield, the amazing Cheddar Gorge and Caves (11.5 miles) are a must see.

Enter the bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner of this exceptional country retreat to find a restful interior. Beautifully furnished in contemporary style, with subtle colour tones and ceiling beams to add period charm. An elegant L-shaped sofa sits before the sleek contemporary wood burner and Smart TV, while the splendid kitchen, with a battery of state-of-the-art fixtures, will delight keen cooks. The large dining table and comfortable chairs complete this lovely living space. Still on the ground floor, find three sumptuous bedrooms: a king-size, a super-king-size and a double. Completing the layout is a sophisticated family bathroom with a free-standing bath, a shower and a WC, plus a separate shower room with WC. Head upstairs to the fourth bedroom, tucked into the eaves with sloping ceilings. It houses a day bed which opens into a double and there are two toddler beds for under 5's. A Smart TV, en-suite WC and utility room with a washing machine are also on this floor.

Outside, relax on the patio in the charming, enclosed garden, with comfortable rattan outdoor furniture, a hot tub for six and a BBQ. A second set of garden furniture sits on the lawn, with lovely verdant views.

The cottage was very nice, well equipped and spotless. The Red cow pub was in walking distance and served good food. Unfortunately i couldn't recommend this to my older friends but younger ones i would.
