A fabulous escape for two – or perhaps a small family if you make use of the sofa bed – this ground floor apartment is situated in a protected position above Porthminster Beach, facing eastward to the morning sun. It’s set in an elegant terrace on the edge of popular St Ives, just 150 metres from the superb Porthminster Beach and around 300 metres from the array of charming boutiques, galleries and eateries that make up the town centre. At low tide you can go down the steps next to the Pedn Olva Hotel, directly onto the beach, where you'll find a number of dining options, including the award-winning Porthminster Café. Explore the town’s other five beaches, or get arty with a visit to Tate St Ives, the Leach Pottery or the tranquil Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. You can play a round of golf at Tregenna Castle, 1 mile, or head out to the iconic St Michael’s Mount, 8.5 miles, reached via a small boat or a tidal causeway.

Each morning you can wake up to the sounds of the waves crashing against the shore, enjoy the first rays of sunshine as they shine into the cosy living room, whilst you enjoy your cup of tea, looking out at the glorious view. You’ll instantly be drawn to the mesmerising scenes from the large windows, offering an ever-changing vista of sea and sky that will leave you stunned by the enchanting play of light on the sea. While there’s no parking at this property, there is a car park across the road (spaces subject to availability), and other long-stay car parks are available in and around the town, some of which can be pre-booked.

In a good position a few hundred yards from town and just up the hill from the station entrance. Usually accessible from the station car park via steps opposite the flat, but please check this is the case before booking. Comfortable bed and seating and well equipped kitchen (just no dishwasher). Useful sofabed if more than two staying. Court yard Read morevery small and not suitable for dogs who will only wee on grass! Hide
