Sleeping four guests, it is just 1 mile from pubs and eateries in the village of St Merryn. When the weather calls for beach days, you’re spoiled for choice, with classic golden sands complete with rock pools, at family-friendly Constantine Bay, Trevone and Harlyn Bay (all within 2.5 miles). Charming Padstow (3.5 miles) has great character and a clutch of top-notch seafood restaurants. Take a boat trip from the picturesque harbour for a sea safari and enjoy a peaceful walk or bike ride along the Camel Trail. For all-round fun, St Eval Kart circuit (4.5 miles) is a must.

There’s a handy utility area for sandy shoes and the lodge is attractively furnished in a contemporary style. There’s a good-sized dining table and a kitchen with all you need to rustle up tasty meals, using fresh local produce. After a day of sea air, sleep well in the two inviting bedrooms, one a king-size with an en-suite, and a twin. A sleek family shower room completes the layout.
Double doors open onto the large timber deck, with a table and chairs. This a lovely spot for outdoor drinks and meals. You can brush up your sports skills on shared tennis courts and football pitches. Canine companions also have their own special exercise enclosure. There is private parking for two cars.
