In a peaceful rural spot just 2.5 miles inland from North Cornwall’s breathtaking coastline, this charming property is ideal for couples or small families keen for a picturesque holiday. Found through narrow leafy lanes, it offers panoramic views of rolling countryside while enjoying close proximity to stunning beaches like Mawgan Porth (2.5 miles walkable via bridle path and quiet lanes) and the dramatic National Trust site at Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps (3.5 miles). The delightful village of St Mawgan (1.5 miles), is perfect for a leisurely wander, with its renowned Japanese gardens. Watergate Bay (3.5 miles) is a surfer's paradise, with two miles of golden sands, leading to the bustling seaside town – and surfing mecca – of Newquay (7 miles). For a spectacular dining experience, visit the picturesque fishing port of Padstow (9 miles).

You’ll enter this welcoming retreat into the bright and airy kitchen/diner, which has a cosy wood burner to keep you all toasty on chilly evenings. The kitchen, accented with elegant wood, has everything you need for food prep, including a coffee machine for whipping up your morning flat white (don’t forget your favourite ground coffee). A large window fills the space with natural light and shows off a view of the owner’s (unused) courtyard. A small step leads into the sitting room, a snug haven with a squishy sofa, an armchair and a desk for if anyone needs to attend to work. Choose a book from the collection or unwind with a film after a day at the beach. There’s also a handy shower room with WC downstairs. Upstairs, the landing leads to two beautifully presented bedrooms, each with a cheerful colour scheme. The first bedroom has a king-size bed, while the second, with its cheerful yellow décor and colourful throws, can be arranged as a twin or a super-king to suit your needs. The delightful family bathroom features a walk-in shower and a freestanding bath.

Outside, make the most of sunny weather on the sheltered patio – it’s perfect for afternoon drinks or BBQ dinners. The steps lead to a large parking area with space for two cars. You can also drink up nature in the adjacent meadow, overflowing with delightful flora and fauna.

Beautiful cottage and garden, lovely welcome from Charlie and Carrie. Cream tea on arrival was a lovely treat. Hope to stay there again soon.

A beautiful, comfortable property with gorgeous views. Peaceful location with only a short drive away from local towns and beaches. Hosts Carrie and Charlie were warm and welcoming, really helpful with recommendations and tips. A luxury welcome pack of fresh local produce for afternoon tea was greatly appreciated and absolutely delicious. Our dog Read moreenjoyed the endless walks and well maintained garden. Our teenage son also enjoyed the holiday and found nothing to complain about! I can highly recommend Little Lanherne for anyone who needs a relaxing time away. We will definitely be returning to Little Lanherne Farm. Hide
