This is a clean and comfortable dog friendly cottage within Carperby and gives easy access to the surrounding countryside as well as to the towns of Leyburn and Hawes. Although we only saw them briefly during our stay the owners were both very welcoming. A charming and comfortable traditional cottage, ideally situated for exploring the Dales and within walking distance of Aysgarth Falls via a well-signposted footpath. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean.

Ellerlands was comfortable, clean and warm. Lovely village with dog friendly pub, serving good food. We enjoyed our stay and loved the area & walk to Aysgarth Falls. Also short car journey to pretty West Burton and Cauldron Force waterfall.

This is really well equipped cottage, well maintained and considered, it even has a dog towel. It has a beautiful little garden, just a shame it wasnt warm enough for us to use. We did two lovely walks direct from the cottage, one to the waterfalls and one to Bolton Castle. I wish we could have stayed longer. The pub down the road is excellent though and very dog friendly. Hide

Lovely, quiet accommodation with fantastic views. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It felt cosy, but there ws plenty of room for the four of us. There was a walk from the house to the beautiful Aysgarth Falls. Ellerlands was a perfect base for our short break and we'll definitely be back.

Soooo marvellous! The cottage is very comfy and prepped with your comfort in mind. All you might need is there, including warm blankets for chilly evenings. Tons of recommendations on what to see in the area. Wish we had more time to explore

This property is perfect for a getaway from the hustle of daily life in a busy town/city. Beautiful views of the countryside from the bedrooms, everything you'd need/expect from a holiday property is provided. The secure garden is perfect for canine friends to stretch their legs and go pee without having to faff about with the lead! Cooking/dining Read moreutensils basic but all that you need for a home prepped meal after a busy day exploring the dales. The village is exceptionally quiet, but be aware there are no shops only a pub. The fish and chip van comes weekly which is a bonus, it stops opposite the cottage and the food is delicious and very reasonable price. Beds are reasonably comfy and sufficient storage space in the double bedroom for unpacking your luggage. The sofas were very comfy for resting up tired feet and paws. Location wise it was perfect for a remote getaway. There is a public footpath just outside the back garden leading to an easy walk to the aysgarth waterfalls less than a mile away. The cafe here does the best gelato we've ever had! As with most countryside breaks, driving is a must to explore further afield as the bus service is sparce, luckily you are guaranteed a parking space for 1 vehicle at the back of the property with public free parking opposite for additional cars. We particularly enjoyed a visit to Richmond which was 25 mins drive away, Catterick close to Richmond has a Tesco supermarket plus other big brand shops (pets at home for the canine supplies a bonus). Overall a lovely stay and we will be back again if visiting the area Hide

It is a lovely cottage in a perfect location. Rural yet with a very good pub on the door step! With a dog there are plenty of lovely walks without having to drive. We would stay again.
