Escape to the Suffolk coast in this charming cottage in the village of Kessingland. The property sleeps four guests and makes a great couples’ retreat or a base for small families with older children. One mile from Kessingland’s wild and unspoilt beach, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you can enjoy peaceful strolls along the sand and shingle shoreline, hunting for fossils and paddling in the sea. You can also walk to Benacre National Nature Reserve – a must for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. The village itself has a handful of pubs and cafes to refuel in, as well as several independent shops. You’ll find further eateries along the coast at the seaside resorts of Lowestoft (5.5 miles) with train station or Southwold (8 miles). The former fisherman’s cottage has been transformed into a stylish holiday home with bright and airy décor and homely touches throughout. The main living space is an inviting lounge/diner with a sumptuous L-shaped sofa to stretch out on after a day at the beach. The sleek bathroom is also located on the ground floor, along with a handy cloakroom for storing outdoor attire. When day turns to night, head upstairs to discover two comfortable bedrooms – choose from a king-size or a double.
