This welcoming family home is in the historic market town of Alnwick. The property welcomes four guests and is perfect for families and friends seeking a stylish base from which to explore the beautiful Northumberland coast. A short, 0.5-mile stroll brings you to the heart of the town, where you can amble along the cobbled streets and peruse the many independent shops and boutiques. There is a theatre, cinema and Arts centre and a great range of shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. A stay in Alnwick isn’t complete without a visit to the magnificent Alnwick Castle, which you may recognise as Hogwarts from the Harry Potter films. Whilst here, also take the time to explore the stunning Alnwick Garden, with its glorious cherry blossoms and magical treehouse. For a day at the seaside, journey to the wide, sandy bay at Alnmouth Beach, just 4.5 miles away. Other day trips from the property include the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, the Farne Islands, and the charming coastal villages of Bamburgh and Seahouses (all within 30 miles).

The end-of-terrace property is reached via four external stone steps. Inside, leave your coats and boots in the tiled hallway, before moving through to the spacious lounge/diner. This elegant room boasts a high ceiling, parquet flooring, panelled walls, and large windows letting in plenty of natural light. Stretch out on the plush, velvet sofas to watch the Smart TV, warm your toes in front of the cosy wood burner, and enjoy memorable mealtimes together at the wooden dining table nestled in the corner. From the lounge/diner, a door leads through to the stylish kitchen, where you’ll find everything needed for a self-catering break. Just off the kitchen is a handy porch area which opens onto the outdoor space. Completing the ground floor accommodation is a utility room and WC. Upstairs, two stunning bedrooms await, both of which have been decorated in a style that complements the period property. Choose from the inviting king-size with a sliding door leading to an en-suite shower room, or the cosy twin bedroom with plush linens and calming decor. Rounding off the first floor is a large family bathroom with far-reaching views of the surrounding hills.

Outside, the small, enclosed patio area has outdoor furniture, a beautiful feature wall and decorative lighting and is the perfect place to sit with a drink. A door from the garden leads to the lane running alongside the property. There is on-street parking, subject to availability.

This is a really comfortable, clean and spacious house. A ten minute walk from the centre of Alnwick with shops bars and restaurants. Adam and Eve restaurant even allowed dogs. Amble old boathouse has really good seafood and a harbour view, also dog friendly. Nice base to see the Northumberland coastline, central for the area.
