This rural bolthole enjoys a peaceful setting within a 40-acre estate, with 12 acres of parkland in the New Forest National Park. The property, which sits alongside a similar holiday home, sleeps four guests and makes a delightful couples’ retreat or base for a small family. Larger groups can book both cottages within the estate. You’ll be located on the edge of the village of Cadnam, which has several cosy pubs to refuel in after a stroll along the river or a hike across the common. Step back in time on a visit to the beautifully preserved naval village at Buckler’s Hard (13 miles), or wander amongst the gorgeous floral displays at Exbury Gardens (14 miles). For a day at the coast, journey to the seaside town of Lymington (13 miles), where you can also hop on the ferry to the Isle of Wight. Within the immediate area, you’ll find a fishing lake and golf club, as well as Paultons Park (4 miles).

Before stepping inside this delightful property, take a moment to appreciate your surroundings of pretty parkland and the peaceful sounds of nature. Head inside to find that the countryside charm continues with verdant views and homely comforts. The cosy and characterful kitchenette/diner, is the perfect space where you can gather after days of New Forest adventure to plan the next day’s itinerary over a wholesome meal, perhaps cooked using local ingredients you sourced earlier in the day. At the end of each busy day away, two sumptuous king-size bedrooms offer a restful night’s sleep. Both rooms feature en-suite bathrooms for your comfort and convenience.

Outside, embrace nature in the fabulous, shared grounds. Take a stroll around the lake before challenging your fellow guests to a game of tennis on the shared court. There’s also a shared dining area for outdoor entertaining, and on starry nights you can relax in the hot tub. Ample private parking is also available.
