An impressive, contemporary cottage with private hot tub and dramatic views of Pen y Fan and Corn Ddu, this secluded, Welsh retreat offers natural beauty and tranquillity. Sleeping six guests, the luxurious, three-bedroom hideaway nestles in the picturesque surroundings of Merthyr Cynog, 8.5 miles from Brecon. Situated 5.5 miles from the fringes of Bannau Brycheiniog, also known as the Brecon Beacons, its special position makes it ideal for families or groups of friends who enjoy walking, hiking and climbing. Brecon, with its independent shops and market stalls, is a great town to stock up on local produce, while Hay-on-Wye, 23 miles away, makes a superb day out during its literature festival or simply to potter in its many book shops. Llangorse Lake, 16 miles away, is a lovely place to hire rowing boats, paddleboards or canoes or to go pony trekking. The younger members of your party will also enjoy spending time at Cantref Adventure Farm Park, 11.5 miles away.

Tear yourselves away from the views to enter the attractive, single-storey, detached cottage. Let yourselves into the rear of the holiday home and find yourselves in the light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Here, you can slide the great glass doors open on warm spring and summer days to create seamless indoor/outdoor living. This stylish space has been given a bright, contemporary look, with comfortable seating arranged so you and your friends or family can chat or enjoy the Smart TV. The chic kitchen area encompasses everything you will need to cater for yourselves during your stay and there is a breakfast bar for casual snacks. The dining table is the perfect place to gather for more formal meals. To one side of the living area is the twin bedroom, a king-size, which has its own sliding doors and glorious, undulating views, and a family bathroom. The other king-size is to the other side of the space (the king-size beds can be arranged as twins if requested prior to arrival). This has an en-suite shower room and more patio doors with verdant views.

Savour the serenity of the outside space at the cottage. Dine on the patio under the stars or stroll out across the surrounding farm and woodland. There is private parking at the cottage.

Very luxurious property with stunning views in a peaceful countryside location within close proximity to the Brecon Beacons. Had a lovely week long stay during the winter and will definitely return for a visit in summer months. Highly recommended.

We loved Glanllyn. Tastefully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. All the thought John Davies has put in to reduce the carbon footprint of the build and the daily running was important to us and appreciated. Glanllyn is in a very quiet and restful location high up on a farm.Thank you John and Menna.
