Very warm and comfortable cottage. Michael was very welcoming, and everything felt very safe within the secured grounds of the main house. Easy parking right next to cottage. All areas absolutely spotless (we are very fussy). We spent a lovely very relaxing few days here. I would definitely recommend.

This is a very high-spec property, beautifully furnished, top quality fittings and decor. It all feels very new and carefully chosen. The beds are extremely comfortable, the underfloor heating makes it very warm and cosy, there's an excellent shower, a beautiful kitchen, etc. We loved the hot tub too; perfect for relaxing in after a day on the hiRead morells! Be sure to bring your own towels and flip flops for the hot tub though, as this isn't mentioned in the listing. Towels are only provided for the bathroom, and the walk out to the hot tub is along a gravel path, painful in bare feet! We really appreciated the provisions left for us: milk, wine, coffee pods, snacks, etc. It was very thoughtful and such a nice touch to make you feel welcome. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful Shropshire countryside, with Long Mynd and Offa's Dyke easily accessible. The lovely little town of Bishop's Castle is within easy reach, with some great pubs (we enjoyed a drink in the Castle Hotel, and a great meal in the Three Tuns). There's a decent Co-op in Bishop's Castle, but you need to drive 30 mins or so to Ludlow or Welshpool to find a larger supermarket. We've given 4 stars, only losing a star due to the TV situation. The listing says the cottage has Sky, but in reality it's only Freesat, with not even the option to watch catch-up TV. Bring your own Firestick or similar if you'd like to watch TV in the evening. Of course, this may be low priority for some, but we were here for a week with our 2 children, and we enjoy watching something all together in the evenings when on holiday. But all in all, we would recommend this cottage, as a great place from which to explore a lovely county. Hide
