Part of a distinctive red-brick development just above Rotherslade Bay, this contemporary coastal retreat is perfect for a party of four. Rotherslade links at low tide to Langland Bay (500 metres), where the beautiful sands are backed by a beach hut-lined promenade. Sheltered from onshore winds, this is a favourite spot for surfing and swimming, with a choice of eateries plus tennis courts and a golf course close by. A major attraction of the Gower Peninsula is its scenic coast path, lined with wildflowers and well-suited to walkers of all ages. Follow it west and you’ll reach beautiful Caswell Bay (1.5 miles), or head east instead to Bracelet Bay (2 miles) for a fine view towards Mumbles Lighthouse. 1 mile away, you’ll find cosmopolitan Mumbles that has something for everyone to enjoy, with a Victorian pier and seafront lined with refreshment stops and ice cream shops. Overlooking the village, Oystermouth Castle (1.5 miles) is especially stunning, while further east, Swansea (5.5 miles) is the second-largest city in Wales.

Park your car at the front of the apartment block and pause to admire the view out to sea before you follow the steps one flight up to the landing and turn right to access your front door. Inside, the hallway has doors into a family bathroom, two bedrooms and a boiler cupboard containing a handy washer/dryer. The first bedroom you come to has a quirky bunk bed with sleeping space for two at the lower level and one above – ideal for siblings. There’s a king-size bedroom further along, before you reach a chic, uncluttered, open-plan living space with fully glazed patio doors at the far end. A contemporary sofa and chairs bring a cool coastal vibe to the lounge area, where you can stretch out to watch TV, opening those patio doors for a waft of sea air in the warmer months. Behind, the circular dining suite is conveniently close to the chic kitchen, where you’ll find all the essential equipment for an effortless self-catering stay.

Step through the patio doors onto your balcony and you can enjoy far-reaching views of the sea and the green lawn to the front of the apartment building. Steps to the sandy beach and coastal cafe are just a brief downhill stroll from your doorstep.

We had a fantastic time at this seaside flat! It was beautifully furnished, very comfortable, and exactly as described. Hearing the sound of the waves on the balcony was a highlight!

We had a lovely few days staying at the apartment whilst catching up with family in the area. The apartment is very clean, beautifully appointed and in a great location. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best so we didn't get chance to enjoy the balcony but we loved the view. We will definitely return in the future.

Small, well presented apartment in a quiet location with excellent access to Rotherslade and Langland beaches and the coastal paths. Comfortable bed and sofa. Noise from neighbouring apartments when you sit in the lounge. Work is being done on the adjoining block and the builders compound is on your allocated parking space. Note in apartment saysRead more free for all at the rear Whilst not a problem for us as it was quiet, there may be an issue during the height of the season. There is limited on road parking opposite the flats for easy access to the beach but is understandably very busy during the daytime. Its fine for parking later on in the evening. Hide
