An exceptional apartment in an enviable position in southern Swanage, this elegant retreat is perfect for up to four guests: couples, friends, or families with children aged over two. Soak up Swanage's vibrant centre and sandy beaches after a 350-metre walk downhill to town. Here, mooch around the many and varied seaside shops and dive into one of many welcoming pubs, restaurants and cafes. For a fun day out, head to Swanage Station (0.5 miles) and hop aboard the heritage railway to Corfe Castle. For walkers, this property offers a great base to join the South-west Coast Path (0.5 miles) and follow the cliff top trail along Durlston Bay in one direction, and to Peveril Point in the other. The famous Old Harry Rocks are also within reach. For more walks, the National Trust's Studland Bay awaits (6.5 miles), with its distant views of the Isle of Wight. If you’d like to venture further, for a great way to explore the area, leave the car behind and hop on the open-top Purbeck Breezer buses - some of the most scenic bus rides in England.

Modern and welcoming, this two-bedroom accommodation sits on a hillside, with level, ground-floor access. Make your way into the attractive building via the shared entrance, then let yourselves into your private apartment. Head on through to the wonderful, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner – the social heart of the property. This beautiful room has an outstanding finish, with stylish, contemporary furnishings and accessories. Large sash windows set into a bay, as well as French doors to the balcony, allow natural light to flood in. After days of Dorset adventure, unwind in the lounge space, settling into the comfy seating to watch the Smart TV, play board games, or simply relax. When hunger strikes, make use of the stylish and well-appointed kitchen facilities and find all that’s needed to cook up a feast or eat your fish and chips, collected from one of several delicious eateries in town. At the end of each day, there are two lovely bedrooms to rest up in: choose from a master king-size bed with an en-suite shower room, or a welcoming twin room which is served by the family bathroom with its indulgent, free-standing bath.

Throw open the doors to the balcony on fine summer days. Sip a chilled glass of something at the table, and enjoy a lovely glimpse of the sea. There is off-road parking for one car right next to the front door of the building, with additional on-street parking also available on nearby roads.

Lovely flat. Everything thought of! Wonderful to have designated parking for flat 1 right beside the front door.. Not far to walk into centre of town. A hill to walk up on the return..but not bad at all if you are reasonably fit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lookout. It's a very comfortable, clean and well-equipped apartment with spectacular views. As is to be expected in Swanage, you should be prepared to walk up and down very steep roads to reach the town centre. But having said that, everything is within walking distance. Definitely recommend staying there!
