For a restful family holiday in Nottinghamshire, stay at this spacious and comfortable family home in a quiet rural spot in the village of Clayworth. Within just 500 metres, you'll find a welcoming, dog-friendly, local pub serving typical pub food, as well as a restaurant serving a locally sourced and freshly prepared menu. A little further afield, in North Wheatley (2.5 miles), there is a handy shop and cafe. Walkers can enjoy peaceful strolls of varying lengths along the footpaths and bridleways on the doorstep, or visit Idle Valley Nature Reserve, only 1 mile away. The Chesterfield Canal goes through Clayworth, offering picturesque towpath walks to neighbouring villages and pubs. Venturing a little further, Daneshill Lakes Nature Reserve (5.5 miles), National Trust's Clumber Park (13 miles), and Sherwood Pines Forest (17 miles), are all worth exploring. Keen to discover some local history? Visit St Peter's Church (0.5 miles) and see the famous Traquair Murals. For a fun family day out, Yorkshire Wildlife Park is only 11 miles away.

Lovely property in a nice part of the country.Clean and comfortable with a lovely garden.Plenty of walks and things to do in this area.I left some items in the property and the owner very kindly sent them back,I received them the next day.

Although our stay was invaded by around the clock works which disrupted the peace and quiet of the beautiful village of Clayworth we found Beck House to be a warm, comfortable and charming house. Downstairs is vast , if you felt you needed to be on your own for some reason or another , rooms are a plenty with seats and settee for comfort in everyRead more room The bedrooms are equally spacious with lovely comfortable beds. Beck House is well placed for local walks especially along the canal towpath and the local paths.We had a very enjoyable week and would recommend Beck House to anyone who enjoys a peaceful village. Very comfortable house with everything you could possibly need. Wonderful garden and walks straight from the door. The owner was very helpful and close by. One of the nicest holiday cottages we have stayed in.

Beautiful cottage fitted out with quality fittings. Fabulous garden the dogs just loved which is very dog proof, important as onto the main road. Had a lovely break in a very nice village with loads of dog walks.

We enjoyed our week at Beck Cottage. It was particularly spacious downstairs and had a lovely garden. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Our grandchildren loved the pool table which converted to provide various games. The location was good for walking and we also visited Sherwood Pines and Clumber Park - both dog frienRead moredly. Had an excellent Sunday lunch at The Bluebell Inn in Lound - great food, excellent service and good value . Hide

Would highly recommend this property to stay in. It is a lovely large house with a beautiful secure garden, perfect for a toddler and a dog. The owners were very helpful and responded very quickly to any messages.

Lovely spacious house with a very attractive large garden. Well equipped and great for family get togethers. The owner was very helpful and kindly welcomed us with the key on our late arrival. Clayworth is a pretty and interesting village with pleasant walks nearby and a beautiful church.

The cottage is in the pretty village of Clayworth which has a gastropub and also a friendly village boozer. There are nice walks in the country and along the canal towpath. The house has a lovely large dog-proof garden. Although the owners live next door, they are very discreet. Fresh towels and linen weekly.
