It also lies within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is 2 miles from Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest. Boasting a wonderful collection of trees and a medieval lake, this ancient woodland is a beautiful place for a stroll or picnic. Alternatively, head 4.5 miles to Bewl Water and enjoy an afternoon of fishing, sailing, or windsurfing on the stunning 880-acre reservoir. Also worth a visit are the graceful gardens at Pashley Manor (3 miles) and the castles and stately homes in Tunbridge Wells (12.5 miles).

This open-plan living area is a welcoming space with large windows and French doors that drench the room in natural light. The lounge features vibrant furnishings and a plump sofa that invites you to snuggle up with a film on the TV or simply sit and contemplate the beautiful garden views. Overlooking the lounge is a good-sized kitchen equipped with everything you’ll need to create delicious meals. Savour a romantic dinner for two at the intimate dining table and when the weather is good, push open the French doors and let the sunshine drift in. Off from the living area, you’ll find a king-size bedroom. Bright and breezy in design, it’s a comfortable space with soothing tones and attractive decor. Completing the property is a separate shower room.

Outside, a decked terrace is the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening drinks. In the evening, pour yourself a chilled drink and dine al fresco under the stars. The garden is shared with the owner, but privacy is assured. There is also private parking for one car.

Neil and Carolyn, the owners were very friendly and hospitable. Sheila the shed was very well maintained and was really comfortable. The garden was very natural and ideal for our dog. The only issue was the steps leading down to the cottage - these would not be suitable for anyone with a disability. They were steep and uneven. Had a slight issue wRead moreith the hot water which Neil was trying to sort out. Maybe a anti slip mat in the shower would help. Hide

A great place for a weekend trip, set in a beautiful garden and woodland area. The shed had everything we needed and the treats left for us and our dog were a lovely touch. Great hosts who were really friendly and provided great recommendations of where to go in the area.

Perfect location, situated in the owners land but set down below the drive in level giving you real peace and a space for yourself. Fantastic natural grounds and country cottage feel all around you. I had an amazing time with Sheila the shed! Carolyn and Neil are wonderful people that made me feel right at home in Flimwell. The accommodations are very good and well maintained. The little extra's like a welcome with some local goods and an extensive list with tips and directions for sights to see in the area is very nice! The personal touch NeiRead morel and Carolyn provide makes this such a lovely stay. Sheila is very comfortable and adorable with great views and some bonus doggy pets and play time if you want to. 10 out of 10 recommened! LGBTQIA+ friendly and safe. Hide
