This is a fantastic holiday home, very comfortable with plenty of space for the 8 of us. The welcome basket of goodies was a lovely surprise.

We found it a lovely sociable property for our family birthday celebrations and would be very happy to recommend it. IN ADDITION: Please see road access review above - I made the mistake of trying to access the cottage via the very much inaccessible roads listed above. I was wondering how on earth the rest of my party would ever be able to getRead more to the property using their much larger vehicles. Hide

Great location, great garden for the dogs. All the equipment you could need to have a good holiday. We struggled to stay warm in the house, heating was not on enough and the fire not particularly efficient. The bedding is a let down 4 tog duvets and tiny pillows, bring your own bedding if it is cold outside.

This is a lovely converted barn in a stunning area of Cornwall. It's in walking distance to the beach and a couple of pubs, if you can manage the steep hike back up the hill! The large garden is perfectly manicured, enclosed and very pleasant indeed - our dog loved it! Inside the house has very comfy furniture, with good quality beds and lovely fluRead moreffy towels. We also appreciated the welcome bottle of Prosecco! Just a few minor niggles which we have mentioned to the owners and would be easy to address, but overall it was a great stay. Loads of spectacular countryside nearby and so many charming fishing villages to visit. Highlights for us were Polperro, Cawsand, Looe and Pulruan. Hide

Loved the location, quiet and extremely rural, care needs to be taken down very tight country lanes. Large open plan property, plenty of room for multiple guests. No upstairs toilet for two single bedrooms is rather a strange design omission, but clean and tidy with a great garden, dogs loved it, we loved it. A quick word of praise goes out to ChloRead moree at Holiday Cottages for her fast response to our query regarding local road closures. Hide

A very lovely space for relaxing in - we had a wet week and having rather glamourous inside space was a definite boost. There are lots of good walks in the area, Looe is a good place for a coffee overlooking the harbour and there are some good gardens to visit in the area.

A beautiful barn conversion, beautifully furnished and equipped

Reviewed by Christine 17th August 2025

The Moohay is wonderfully situated with a lovely garden. Hooks on the backs of the bedroom doors would be very useful for dressing gowns, cardigans etc. The wooden floor is rather tired and needs attention.

The barn conversion was amble size for our family of seven with all the necessary equipment to cook. Garden is large with lots of room for the children to explore and our dog to roam safely. The drive up to the barn is down a narrow road which can be difficult with farm equipment going up and down.

The accommodation was very comfortable and in a lovely setting. Note: (to be expected in the countryside), be aware of the very narrow roads up to the property, expecially if driving a larger vehicle.

A wonderful barn conversion in an idyllic location. Very good amenities in the house and the garden was ideal for small children to play in.
