A delightful and carefully converted rural barn, this attractive retreat nestles on a tranquil smallholding in beautiful South Devon. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom holiday hideaway is set on grounds at Dartington where the owners also live. Enjoying great privacy, and with features such as exposed stonework and a wood burner, it is a comfortable, welcoming and stylish abode for those eager to explore Dartmoor National Park, just 5 miles away, as well as the magnificent South Devon coast. Situated 2.5 miles from Totnes and 15.5 miles from Dartmouth, it is well located for anyone keen to enjoy the many attractions of the picturesque English Riviera. The beach at Paignton is 9 miles away, while Broadsands is 10 miles away. Perfect for a large family or two family groups, it is just over 0.5 miles from the South Devon Railway, which runs along the enchanting valley of the River Dart.

Cross the walkway to let yourselves into the barn at ground-floor level and enter to find your contemporary-style, airy living accommodation. With a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and honey-coloured, wooden floors, this open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is the perfect place to kick back and relax after your many excursions. Light the wood burner at the lounge end of the space on chilly days, then settle back on the soft seating to watch the Smart TV or play a game together. Wander over to the exquisite kitchen/diner end of the large room to find beautiful wooden units and all the appliances and accessories you need to help you cater for your party. The round farmhouse kitchen table is perfect for family meals and light snacks. A glass-balustrade staircase from the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner leads down to the lower ground floor, where there is more exposed stonework, plus your bedrooms and family bathroom. Here, you will find two king-size bedrooms, one with glass doors to the garden and the other with an additional day bed for flexible sleepings arrangements. There is also a bunk bedroom that the younger members of your party will adore, which is accessed through the master bedroom. The bathroom has a bath and a wet room-style shower to choose between.

Relax out in the seating area on fine, sunny days. Enjoy the tranquillity of your surroundings over a cup of tea and a slice of Devon apple cake. The barn comes with private parking for two cars

The barn is in a quiet location and ideally situated to tour south Devon. The accommodation was comfortable and clean and well appointed. The owners were helpful and amiable and were close by to sort any issues which may arise.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Love Barn and would highly recommend staying there to anyone wanting to holiday in South Devon. Clive and Kay were excellent hosts who warmly greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of the property, and checked in with us periodically to see how we were getting on. We were very comfortable there, everyone had great nights' sleep. We never had any issues with the WiFi which was fast and stable (much-needed when planning trips out on a rainy day!).
