The surrounding picture-perfect hamlet of Waterrow provides the perfect base for keen walkers, with the Brendons, Quantocks, Blackdown Hills and the magnificent walking country of Exmoor National Park all reached within 10.5 miles. From countryside to coast, those who love life by the sea can explore the rocky Doniford Beach 13 miles away, and Kilve beach (16 miles) which is perfect for fossil hunting and both welcomes dogs all year round.

The accommodation was excellent, and the welcome pack a very nice surprise. The outside area was a lovely sun trap, and the supply of good quality sun loungers, which were used every day, was an excellent touch, ( not something that you often have supplied ) The private riverside walk and paths created was wonderful and an excellent way to start Read morea longer walk in the area. This superb holiday cottage surpassed all expectations. Set in idyllic tranquil surroundings, a lovely place to relax and unwind after whatever the days outing has brought. The cottage is spacious for two people, beautifully decorated and incredibly well equipped with everything one could possibly need including many consumables such as tea, coffeeRead more and dishwasher/washing machine materials. Without hesitation we would recommend this stay. The Old Stables is well appointed and in a desirable location. A great get away for us and our two young dogs. The issue with the lack of enclosed fencing around the patio was resolved swiftly by the owners who are lovely, and go above and beyond to ensure the stay is perfect!

Lovely cottage, Welcome pack for us was lovely and bits for our dog were great. The bed was really comfy, which is a must for us, the cottage has everything you need. The enclosed field for your dog to run in was brilliant, our boy Chilli loved it.
