This serene glamping pod is an ideal retreat for couples seeking unforgettable adventures in the Lake District. Nestled in the heart of the national park along the shores of Lake Windermere, it offers easy access to waterside picnics, leisurely strolls, steam cruises, and even a visit to the local aquarium on rainy days. From your doorstep, embark on a variety of walking trails, including the route to Orrest Head, which rewards you with stunning views of the surrounding lakes and fells. Take the car ferry to Hill Top House (6.5 miles), the former home of Beatrix Potter, and continue to Hawkshead (12 miles), a charming village with whitewashed cottages and cosy cafes. Explore tranquil Grasmere (15 miles) and savour the region’s famous gingerbread. Ambleside (10.5 miles), with its shops, restaurants, cinema, and one of the Lake District’s most picturesque houses, is also within easy reach.

This Lakeside glamping pod offers a perfect blend of comfort and nature. Designed to sleep two adults and two extra children, the pod is also designed for wheelchair uses, including ramp access, lowered worktops, space under the sink, lower rails in the wardrobe, a turning circle, and a grab rail and stool in the shower room. Head inside and find a studio-style living space, with a comfy sofa set across from a wall-mounted Smart TV. When stomachs rumble, the kitchenette boasts all you need to whip up a memorable meal, which can be enjoyed at the cute dining table inside, or alfresco-style out on the decking. At the end of each day, retreat to the sumptuous double bed, and find that the sofa folds out into a double bed for any additional little ones. Start each day with an invigorating soak in the en-suite shower room that completes the interior.

Outside, the decking is the best spot from which to absorb the surrounding scenery and sounds of nature. Use the table and chairs out here for quiet morning coffees, al fresco meals, or simply unwinding with your holiday read. Make use of the on-site cafe and shop when you don’t fancy cooking, as well as the shared EV charging points. Private parking for one car is also available.

A beautiful, refreshing getaway right next to the lakefront. For us it was the perfect mix - relaxing in the cottage, going for nearby hikes, or just gazing out at the waterbirds - we would love to return one day.
