Combining rustic, original cottage features with stylish decor and modern comforts, this beautiful cottage on the Norfolk coast offers sumptuous accommodation to couples or small families with up to two dogs in tow. Coastal Wiveton provides easy access to the pristine beaches of Blakeney (1.5 miles) and Cley-next-the-Sea (1 mile), both of which are perfect for traditional beach days, seaside strolls and wildlife watching. The village itself is home to the enchanting Wiveton Hall and its popular cafe, where visitors can enjoy farm-to-table dining amidst scenic gardens. Nearby, the historic market town of Holt (4 miles) beckons with its charming shops, art galleries, and antique stores. For nature enthusiasts, the Wiveton Downs (1 mile) offer picturesque walking trails with panoramic views. The historic St. Nicholas Church in Blakeney and the Norfolk Wildlife Trust's Cley Marshes Visitor Centre (both within 1.5 miles) are also must-see destinations.

Pull up at the private, off-road parking bay that awaits at this two-bedroom cottage and take a moment to appreciate your peaceful surroundings. The charm continues as you step inside to the entrance hall where you can kick off sandy walking shoes and notice the charming cottage features that set the scene for a peaceful stay. From here, step into the cosy lounge/diner where exposed ceiling beams and brick walls offer a welcoming space to gather around the Smart TV by the warmth of the log burner. When stomachs start to rumble, lay the pretty dining table that sits in the window’s light and move through to the well-appointed cottage kitchen. Find all you need in here to cook up memorable holiday feasts, which can be enjoyed at the farmhouse-style breakfast table in here, back in the lounge/diner, or al fresco-style out in the peaceful, walled garden. Completing the ground floor is a tastefully presented family shower room and WC which also boasts a washing machine for your convenience. When day turns to night, follow the cottage stairs to the first floor and choose from two restful bedrooms that sit under the sloping eaves of the property. Choose from a master king-size bedroom and a spacious family room with a double and single bed. Completing the first floor and cottage is a bathroom with a slipper style bath and WC.

Outside awaits a delightful garden that is both verdant and spacious. Walled and enclosed for your privacy and the safety of little ones and dogs, this outside space is perfect for quiet morning coffees and sun-soaked, al fresco dinners thanks to the outdoor furniture and BBQ.

Very lovely 'cottagie' cottage, tastefully decorated and furnished and with a very homily feel to it, There is a well working wood burner for extra atmosphere though you need to get your own logs. The kitchen is well equipped and with good appliances. Washing up liquid, kitchen cloth and towels were kindly provided. The cottage is in walking distanRead morece to Blakeney and Cley next the Sea and the walks through the marshes. Overall, a good location to explore the northern part of Norfolk. We were missing some local dog walking options, ie local footpaths through the countryside (other than the marshes) which we did not manage to find really. Many walks involve quite a bit of pavement.. so we ended up driving to Holkham beach on 3 of the days. Hide

Golden Goose Cottage was well decorated and furnished, with all the amenities and equipment our family and dog required for a happy week to explore Norfolk. We really loved the local area and there were plenty of options to dine out or takeaway food,,,,We particularly loved Cley next the sea, for its picture postcard village and windmill, great PotRead moretery Shop.
