'There's a good cafe at the Coed-y-Brenin visitor centre which is open all year round. There's always something that can be done here whatever the weather as the forest is nice and sheltered!

Living Room: has a beamed ceiling and a stove with coal supplied. Comfortable seating, Freeview TV and DVD. Small table and chairs.

Kitchen: is a compact galley kitchen with an electric cooker and fridge with freezer compartment. A rear door leads up a flight of steps to the enclosed paved patio area.

Cottage-style stairs lead to the first-floor bedroom and shower room

Bedroom 1: has a double bed and plenty of storage space

Shower Room: is fully tiled with shower cubicle, basin and WC

Outside: is a paved patio with bistro style garden furniture, parking is on the road outside the property.

This is an exellent spot from which to explore Snowdonia with, for the more active, plenty of local walking, mountain biking at the Coed-y-Brenin forest and Antur Stiniog in Blaenau Ffestiniog, where you will also find the very popular Zip World Titan and Bounce Below underground trampolines! For a more restful experience both the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways are within a short drive, as is the famous Italianate village of Portmeirion. This is a lovely little cottage, the kitchen had all the equipment we needed, and we were nice and warm throughout our stay. It's well placed in the village close to the shop and pub. We found it a great location for visiting Snowdonia and the surrounding area.

We dont usually visit this part of Wales, but once used to our location, became aware of places of local interest. You may need to be ready to drive as this can be a prerequisite. However the Cottage is extremely homely and comfortable and the Owners went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The wood burner in the front room was a welcomeRead more sight after some invetitably rainy days ! Would easily return for another totally relaxing time. Hide
