The property is set in a rural area near the picturesque village of Middleton in the beautiful surroundings of the Lune Valley. Situated between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales national parks near the quaint village of Barbon (2 miles) with its local shop, and country pub. Only 6 miles is the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, a haven for food enthusiasts and history buffs alike, featuring delis, a weekly market, and various dining options amidst the town’s historic cobbled streets and squares. From your doorstep, you can embark on walking and cycling trails that explore the region's fells, dales, rivers, and woods. The beautiful village of Sedbergh is 7 miles away and is perfectly situated for days out in either the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District, with lots of local shops, pubs, and eateries to enjoy.

Entering the property your eyes are lit up by the delightfully contemporary and stylish interior. All on one floor the open plan kitchen, living, dining area makes the perfect space to get together, morning, noon or night. Enjoy the cinema sound from the Smart TV on those cooler evenings, cosied up in front of the fire. The cottage/barn was spotless with great decor and furnishings. The bedrooms very spacious and the bathrooms were almost as big! Stunning location with access to an enclosed field for our kids and dog to let off steam. Only 15 mins drive to Kirkby Lonsdale which is a nice little market town with a great fish and chip shop and old style sweet shop. Read moreBooths just outside town is a great little supermarket. We went to Ingleton Falls only 30 mins away which is a must on a nice day. 100% recommending this place and would definitely stay again. Hide

Spent a lovely week in this property and found it more that met our requirements. Great location and there are lots of things to do in the near vicinity. Would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone for a stay.

Very good value and great attitude by the Owners, helpful and undemanding. The bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms were luxurious. Already recommended to friends.

Howgills Barn is a lovely cosy cottage nestled in the hills, with everything you could need for a peaceful holiday. Well equipped, warm and very comfortable, it is the perfect get away, with walks from the door and only a short drive to Kirkby Lonsdale for local shops, pubs and restaurants.

Welcome pack grateful but sad only minimum shower shampoo/4 coffee pod 4 teabags!! Salt cellar with 4 grains salt in, no small coking oil, the little things that entice and warm you to dwelling.
