This charming cottage nestles within the pretty coastal parish of Morwenstow, directly opposite a popular restaurant and pub. The countryside setting has a local shop, play area and provides easy access to a fine range of coastal hot spots close by. The hugely popular coastal town of Bude (11 miles away) is renowned for being one of North Cornwall’s top beach retreats. With its impressive array of golden sandy beaches and an abundance of local amenities, including a heritage centre and art gallery, surf schools, pedalo hire for use down the canal, ten-pin bowling, and a golf course, this escape truly does cover all tastes. Further afield is the mythical Tintagel (26 miles), famed for the legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, along with other historic fishing villages including Boscastle (21 miles) and Clovelly (12 miles).

As you enter this cosy cottage, you are welcomed into an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. There's a comfortable two-seater sofa along with a good-sized wood burner and Smart TV directly opposite, perfect for those romantic evenings watching your favourite movies and listening to the warming crackle of logs on the fire. The kitchen has been well equipped providing everything needed for a stress-free stay whilst there is also plenty of cookware and utensils to rustle up a hearty breakfast to start your day off right. Completing this space is a dining table for two to enjoy those laid-back meals, whilst also acting as the perfect spot for that morning cuppa to plan the day's adventures ahead. Stepping down into the bedroom, guests will see a uniquely designed space with a free-standing roll-top bath within the bedroom, whilst there is also a separate WC. The bedroom features a king-size bed along with plenty of clothing storage.

To the rear of the cottage there is a small patio with outdoor seating. An ideal space to enjoy the views over the surrounding fields on those crisp mornings. At the front of the house is a further lovely, enclosed patio.

Cosy little self catering unit which has great facilities and proximity to excellent pub and the South West Coast Path. There is also a useful Monday to Friday bus service to and from Bude.

I had a wonderful holiday. With the South West Costal Path on the doorstep I was able to go out walking without needing to get in the car. On the other hand it was just a short drive to Bude or Hartland.

Overall a very enjoyable stay, I felt there were a couple of things that can be improved as mentioned above to reach its full potential. Great location, comfy bed, loved the bath in the bedroom, well equipped kitchen.

The Pottery is in a perfect location for walking the SWCP and visiting Hawkers Hut, Rectory Tea rooms and the Bush Inn. The bed was very comfortable with good views and the bath was great to soak in after a days walking. A few everyday utensils could be added to the kitchen as well as a small chest of drawers with a mirror which would help.
