It is surrounded by listed buildings with the Shropshire countryside on the doorstep. Within the village are several shops and eateries. In easy reach for a day visit is the historic Stokesay Castle, Church Stretton, and Ludlow (7 miles) – a medieval market town with an impressive 11th-century castle. Enjoy the popular market in the town square and numerous annual events, or visit one of the many independent shops, pubs, and restaurants. The property is perfect whether you just want to relax and unwind or take an active holiday in Shropshire.

After a busy day exploring the area, return to this converted cart house which has been designed with your comfort in mind, and furnished to a high standard throughout. Walk into the stylish open-plan living area with a comfortable sofa to snuggle up on. Watch a film on the Smart TV, and light the wood burner for cosy nights. If eating in, the kitchen is a lovely space to rustle up a meal using some of the fantastic local produce you will find at the Ludlow Farm shop. The dining table is the perfect setting to enjoy a meal together and plan your holiday activities. There is also a WC on the ground floor. When ready for bed, head upstairs into the spacious bedroom with a double bed and luxurious linen which is guaranteed to give you a good night’s sleep. Cottage was in excellent condition and in a good location. Whilst Crsven Arms is not a pretty village it has the benefit of a large and well stocked family owned supermarket. There are country walks available from the front door of the Carthouse and plenty of places to visit within a reasonable distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

This was a great place to stay. The location was lovely especially for walking and as a base for travelling too. The design of the property and the decor was spot on too. We had a lovely break. Thank you to the owner.

The cottage has been beautifully renovated, with beautiful decor, to create a very stylish, cosy & comfortable haven. The welcome pack & kitchen supplies were much appreciated & the instructions were clear without being overwhelming. A great location to access lots of places with relative ease. How lovely to be able to enjoy an easy stroll to The Read moreShropshire Hills Centre & spectacular Stokesay Castle, just by stepping out of The Carthouse. For those of you who appreciate a few car free days, there are both buses and trains readily available too for trips to Ludlow, Church Stretton, Hereford & Shrewsbury. There are lots of beautiful walks to be enjoyed as well as some great pubs such as The Ragleth Inn, Little Stretton, where we had a splendid Sunday Lunch. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend The Carthouse for a lovely getaway. Hide
